Rentals
Our waterfront location at picturesque Woodley Island Marina features the only dockside kayak rental facility on the redwood coast. Come on down to Dock A and we’ll provide you with the kayaks, canoes, safety equipment, paddles, and PFDs (life jackets) that you’ll need for a paddle on Humboldt Bay. Paddle around Indian Island to see the egret rookery or along the water trails of the Humboldt Bay National Wildlife Refuge. We have both single and tandem kayaks; for families we offer a double-kayak with a drop-in seat in a center hatch for younger paddlers as well as canoes. While we are ideally situated on Humboldt Bay, you are welcome to car-top a rental to a different location (not all cars are suitable). We also offer a “frequent renter” program to keep you paddling.

The winter of 2012 will go down as one the warmest and best for late season kayaking. The local rivers are low but we\'ve had enough rain to keep them at perfect levels for those lazy day cruises.Rivers such as the Eel are great for learning boating skills and taking the family down mild runs. The old growth forest section is tops.
We have spotted our first whales of the season already, heading north for the Bering sea. Our Trinidad bay whale-watching season season kicks off next weekend and runs every weekend through early June.
Our Rental shop always has the boats and gear you need for any kind of adventure. We are open year round but by appointment until May 1st. We will have a new line-up of stand up paddle boards for rent this season along with camping gear for overnight trips.
